Athletics Namibia has confirmed that the national championships will open the 2027 season, with sprinters, middle distance runners and marathoners all expected to attend.
The 100m and 200m fields are likely to be among the strongest, with Beatrice Masilingi and Christine Mboma both on the Namibian sprint scene. Marathon runner Helalia Johannes, a world championships bronze medallist, remains a figure for the distance runners to follow.
Organisers say qualifying standards for continental events will be published before entries close. Junior categories will run alongside the senior programme.
